One-of-a-kind Engagement Ring
The Toi et Moi ring, French for “You and Me” - is one of the most poetic designs in the history of jewelry. This interpretation by Mikkel Brøgger Jewelry honors that lineage while expressing a modern, personal sensibility.
Each ring begins as a drawing, a study of proportion, light, and balance. The images and renderings you see are part of this intimate process, from first sketch to finished jewel, where form and feeling evolve together.
The style is forever linked to the love story of Napoleon Bonaparte and Joséphine de Beauharnais. In 1796, Napoleon proposed with a ring set with two pear-shaped stones; a diamond and a sapphire, resting side by side. Distinct, yet united. That gesture became the emblem of a bond between two individuals, equal in presence, connected in meaning.
A Symbol, Reimagined
Two gemstones sit in gentle dialogue, not competing, but completing one another. The design speaks of partnership, duality, and devotion, while allowing space for individuality.
Within the integrity of the design, each ring can be composed in different gemstone pairings, where colour and light tell their own emotional story:
Sapphire & Diamond; wisdom and eternity
Ruby & Diamond; passion and strength
Emerald & Diamond; renewal and harmony
Alexandrite & Diamond; transformation and wonder
Diamond & Diamond; purity and unity
Paraíba Tourmaline & Diamond; rarity and brilliance
Every combination becomes a quiet portrait of a relationship.
Made for a Love Story
Each Toi et Moi ring is made to order and crafted by hand in New York City. Bespoke commissions are warmly welcomed, allowing the stones, proportions, and character of the ring to reflect the person who will wear it, and the story it represents.
