Qu’est-ce que le BON TON?

Located at Baltzarsgatan 41 in Malmö, BON TON goods was founded by two creative souls: Shane D. Hudson and Mikkel E. Brøgger. They met in New York in 2014, and the store, which opened in 2021, reflects their shared passion for aesthetics, craft, and storytelling.

BON TON goods is a world of design, antiques, and curiosities, where modern European objects enter into dialogue with American Arts & Crafts, traditional Swedish handicraft, and enduring French classics.

Here you will find ceramics, textiles, scented candles, stationery, and décor, alongside jewelry, artwork, and vintage furniture. Our selection includes makers and houses such as Trudon, Antoinette Poisson, Astier de Villatte, Atelier Saint André Perrin, Charvet Éditions, Coral & Tusk, Cerería Introna, Lisa Corti, Nathalie Lété, J. & L. Lobmeyr, Mikkel Brøgger Jewelry, and many more.

BON TON goods is built on the belief that a physical boutique must offer more than products. It must offer a point of view. Over time, BON TON has become synonymous with the art of atmosphere: a universe of experiences, and a sanctuary where the cultured and the artistic, the poetic and the soulful, can meet.

The term bon ton means good taste, refined manners, and elegant style. In the 19th century, it described le beau monde, the beautiful world. It also evokes the French-Cajun expression bon temps rouler, meaning “let the good times roll.”

BON TON goods embraces both meanings: one rooted in refinement and discernment, the other in joy, celebration, and a life in perpetual motion.

BON TON goods is a place for those who appreciate the handpicked and extraordinary.
