A rare French porcelain mustard pot in the form of Pierrot, the iconic clown of the Commedia dell’arte.

Painted with delicate features, a ruffled collar, and red buttons, this piece dates to around 1900, when theatrical and carnival characters were popular decorative subjects. Both functional and decorative, this mustard pot evokes the playful elegance of Belle Époque Paris.
