Fête de Jardin | French Garden Celebration

Fête de Jardin | French Garden Celebration

Saturday, May 9 · 12:00–15:00

Fête de Jardin, quite literally a garden celebration, draws on a long tradition of gatherings shaped by light, color, and the pleasures of the season. From the elegant garden fêtes of 18th-century France to the informal gatherings that mark the arrival of summer, these moments have always balanced refinement with ease.

At BON TON goods, we mark the season with a celebration of color, pattern, and the simple pleasure of being together. New arrivals will be on view throughout the shop, alongside pieces chosen for their sense of occasion, objects that feel at home in both interior and garden settings.

We are especially pleased to welcome Dan from Tapetorama, who will present a rare selection of antique wallpapers dating from the 18th and 19th centuries. These historic papers, rich in color and detail, offer a glimpse into the decorative traditions that continue to inform interiors today. Floral motifs, hand-printed patterns, and layered compositions reflect a period when walls were treated not as background, but as an essential element of atmosphere.

The afternoon is intended to be open and convivial. A moment to pause, to look more closely, and to enjoy the shifting light of early May.

We look forward to welcoming you.
