A refined example of Swedish Gustavian design, this late 18th–early 19th century game table marries elegance with versatility. Crafted in warm mahogany with delicate inlay, the piece features a demilune form when closed, opening to reveal a circular green baize playing surface. Four slender, tapered legs give it the lightness and symmetry characteristic of the Gustavian era, while understated neoclassical detailing speaks to the influence of French design in Sweden during this period.

The table’s fold-over top allows it to serve as both a console and a games table, making it as practical today as it was over two centuries ago. Ideal in a sitting room, study, or library, it invites both decorative display and convivial use.
