Qu’est-ce que le BON TON?

Located at Baltzarsgatan 41  in Malmö, BON TON goods was founded by two creative souls: Shane D. Hudson and Mikkel E. Brøgger. They met in New York in 2014, and the store, which opened in 2021, reflects their shared passion and eye for aesthetics and storytelling. It is a world of design, crafts, antiques and curiosities. Here, modern design objects and European art effortlessly enter into dialogue with American Arts & Crafts, traditional Swedish handicrafts and French classics.

Here you will find ceramics, textiles, scented candles, stationery –  home decor –  side by side with jewelry, artwork and vintage furniture. There are brands such as Trudon, Antoinette Poisson, Astier de Villatte, Atelier Saint André Perrin, Charvet Éditions, Coral & Tusk, Cereria Introna, Lisa Corti, Nathalie Lété, J. & L. Lobmeyr, Mikkel Brøgger Jewelry and many, many more.

BON TON goods is proof that a physical store today must offer unique products and an original atmosphere in order to survive. BON TON goods has become synonymous with this very art form: creating atmosphere. A universe of experiences and a space, a sanctuary where the cultured and the artistic, the poetic and the soulful meet.

The term bon ton means good taste, refined manners and elegant style, and in the 19th century upper class it described le beau monde -  the beautiful world. It also evokes associations with bons temps rouler , the French-Cajun expression meaning "let the good times roll." BON TON goods embraces both meanings: one rooted in refinement and elegance, the other in joy, celebration and a life in perpetual motion.

BON TON goods is a place for those who appreciate the handpicked and extraordinary.
