Collection: TABLE SETTING
Setting a table for dinner, one of life’s simplest and greatest pleasures.
This antique Swedish dining table, dating to circa 1880, has been repainted in black and designed with remarkable versatility. It may be arranged as a large oval table seating six to eight guests, configured as a smaller round table for intimate dinners, or separated into two elegant console tables.
The Spiral plates and serving bowl are handmade by Danish potter Erik Bendtsen, whose sculptural ceramics balance simplicity with organic texture and movement.
The glassware is by La Soufflerie of Paris, mouth-blown from recycled glass using traditional artisan techniques. Featured pieces include the smoky “Oiseau Petit” bird vase, the sculptural purple “Verre Tête,” the classic “Chalice” in clear glass, the delicate “Apéritif” glass, and the small “Cicchetti” bowl.
Placemats and napkins are by Charvet Éditions, crafted in France from 100% linen in soft natural tones and timeless woven stripes.
At the center of the table are ceramic pinecone bowls in varying colors alongside striped candleholders from Sicily, paired with long cornflower blue candles from Trudon to bring warmth and atmosphere to the setting.
Antique cutlery completes the table, used decoratively to create a layered and collected sense of occasion.
A beautifully set table is never only about dining, it is about atmosphere, generosity, candlelight, and gathering people together.
