Ino Schaller – Handcrafted Papier-Mâché Figures from Bavaria
Glittered Santas, woodland creatures, and heirloom holiday figures handmade in Germany
Since 1894, Ino Schaller has created handcrafted papier-mâché holiday figures in Bavaria, Germany, preserving a remarkable tradition of old-world seasonal craftsmanship. Revived by the Schaller family in the 1980s, the workshop continues to use traditional nineteenth-century moulds and techniques, with each piece individually painted, glittered, and finished by hand.
The Ino Schaller Christmas Collection includes glittered Santas, woodland animals, Krampuses, mushrooms, trees, and folkloric holiday figures filled with warmth, nostalgia, and theatrical charm. No two pieces are exactly alike, giving each figure its own expression, personality, and heirloom quality.
At BON TON goods, we curate Ino Schaller for its craftsmanship, history, and storytelling spirit, holiday objects that recall antique European Christmas markets, candlelit trees, and treasured family collections gathered slowly over generations.
Whether displayed on a festive mantel, layered into a maximalist tree, or collected year after year, these handmade Bavarian figures bring joy, character, and timeless holiday atmosphere into the home.

Tip: Ino Schaller figures feel most magical when mixed with candlelight, natural greenery, ribbon, antique ornaments, and collected holiday objects gathered gradually over time.
