Collection: APTWARE
A Ceramic Tradition of Apt
Aptware Ceramics
Marbled clay and historic Provençal craft shaped into singular decorative objects
Aptware is defined by the combination of differently coloured clays rather than surface decoration. Cut, folded and pressed together, the clay creates marbled patterns that travel through the material, ensuring that no two pieces can be exactly alike.
The tradition developed in Apt, Provence, where workshops transformed local earth into vivid bowls, dishes and vessels. Contemporary examples preserve that material intelligence while bringing new colour and form to the table and interior.
BON TON goods presents this selection as part of a wider maker collection, chosen for its craftsmanship, narrative and distinctive material presence.
