The Pearl and Gemstone Necklace

A Modern Take on an Ancient Gem: Pearls by Mikkel Brøgger

Pearls are among the world’s oldest adornments—organic, radiant, and quietly powerful. Across centuries and cultures, they’ve symbolized purity, wisdom, status, and even rebellion. And yet, somehow, they’ve never felt more relevant than they do today.

At BON TON goods, we are proud to showcase a collection of sculptural pearl jewelry by Mikkel Brøgger—a designer who reimagines this ancient gem through a distinctly modern lens.

Pearls as Form, as Feeling, as Story

In Mikkel’s hands, pearls become architectural—set with intention, restraint, and reverence for the irregular. He favors baroque pearls for their natural asymmetry, pairing them with raw-cut gems, slender chains, or high-polish gold details. His pieces are sensual, balanced, and unmistakably sculptural.

Each one celebrates contradiction: feminine and bold, soft and structured, timeless yet entirely contemporary.

One of our most beloved designs is Mikkel’s Pearl and Gemstone Necklace.

A strand of luminous white freshwater baroque pearls, each hand-selected for its exceptional luster and natural form, is punctuated with delicate beads of Brazilian aquamarine, Madagascan rose quartz, and chrysoprase. Strung on sky-blue silk cord, the necklace is finished with Mikkel Brøgger’s signature handmade Stone Link clasp—a sculptural closure crafted entirely in 14k yellow gold.

An expression of refined craftsmanship and poetic balance—this is a contemporary heirloom, designed to be worn.

It’s a piece that feels both antique and avant-garde.
A whisper of color. A nod to tradition. A little bit magic.

An Heirloom for the Present

Mikkel Brøgger’s pearl pieces don’t ask to be saved for special occasions. They’re designed to be worn—layered, lived-in, loved. They become part of you.

Whether you’re drawn to a single pearl drop or a more sculptural statement, these designs offer something rare: a quiet sense of permanence in an ever-shifting world.
