Maison Trudon: Floral Candles, Fragrance, and the Ritual of the Interior

Maison Trudon: A House of Perfume and Flame

For centuries, Maison Trudon has transformed wax, perfume, and flame into atmosphere. Still made in France using traditional methods, Trudon candles are less about fragrance alone and more about memory, mood, and the ritual of the interior.

At BON TON goods, we are continually drawn back to the floral and softly romantic side of the collection: white flowers at dusk, orange blossom drifting through open windows, tuberose warmed by candlelight. These scents feel timeless, elegant, and deeply connected to the decorative world that inspired the house itself.

Trudon Trianon Candle

Trianon

White flowers, hyacinth, rose, and soft musk.

Inspired by Marie Antoinette’s dream of pastoral escape, Trianon captures the romance of an idealized summer garden. Fresh-cut hyacinths mingle with roses, meadow herbs, and soft musk, creating a fragrance that feels both refined and luminous.

There is something unmistakably evening-like about it: warm air drifting through open windows, candlelight against pale interiors, the quiet elegance of flowers arranged loosely in porcelain.

Head Notes: Cyclamen, Galbanum
Heart Notes: White Flowers, Hyacinth, Rose
Base Notes: Musk

Trudon Mademoiselle de la Vallière Candle

Mademoiselle de la Vallière

Tuberose, jasmine, orange blossom, and resin.

Named for Louise de La Vallière, the great love of Louis XIV, this fragrance explores the intoxicating richness of tuberose: creamy, floral, and almost impossibly sensual.

Balanced with jasmine, ylang-ylang, and soft resinous notes, the scent unfolds slowly and dramatically. Romantic without becoming heavy, it feels especially beautiful in the evening or during colder months when floral fragrances take on added warmth.

Head Notes: Bergamot, Galbanum, Orange Blossom
Heart Notes: Jasmine, Tuberose, Ylang-Ylang
Base Notes: Benzoin Resin, Cistus, Musk

Trudon Odalisque Candle

Odalisque

Orange blossom, citrus, vanilla, and juniper wood.

One of the house’s most enduring floral compositions, Odalisque balances radiant orange blossom with woods, citrus peel, and soft vanilla.

The result feels both sunlit and mysterious: bright lemon and orange opening into floral warmth before settling into smoky juniper and silk-like vanilla. Elegant and atmospheric, it remains one of our favorite candles for transitional seasons and softly lit interiors.

Head Notes: Lemon, Orange
Heart Notes: Orange Blossom
Base Notes: Wild Juniper, Vanilla

Trudon Accoutrements

The ritual

Part of the pleasure of Trudon lies in the ritual surrounding the candle itself. The house’s Trudon Accoutrements, including solid brass bases, candle toppers, and the elegant L’Éteignoir, extend the experience into something ceremonial and enduring.

Designed with the same attention to detail as the candles themselves, these objects transform fragrance into a permanent part of the interior.
