Founded in 2021, BON TON goods is a refined and thoughtfully curated boutique rooted in a deep appreciation for heritage craftsmanship and timeless luxury. Located in Malmö’s historic Gamla Staden, just beneath the 14th-century St. Peter’s Church and steps from Stortorget, our shop offers a truly special experience—where each object tells a story and every visit feels like a discovery.

BON TON goods is a curated home for objects made with intention.

We believe beauty begins with care, with the way something is made, chosen, and ultimately lived with. Objects created slowly carry a different weight in the hand and in the heart. They hold knowledge, skill, and memory, passed from one maker to the next.

Our collection is shaped by craftsmanship above all else. We work with artisans and heritage houses where the hand of the maker remains visible, where material matters, and where time is understood as part of the process rather than an obstacle to overcome. We choose pieces with a soul, objects meant to be used, worn, and woven into daily rituals. Candles should be lit. Plates should be set. Jewelry should be worn.

What is “Bon Ton”?

The phrase bon ton—meaning good taste, refined manners, and elegant style—was once used in Regency England and 19th-century high society to describe the beau monde, or “the beautiful world.”

It also carries echoes of bons temps rouler, the French-Cajun expression meaning “let the good times roll.” We embrace both meanings: one rooted in refinement and elegance, the other in joy, celebration, and spirited living.
