The Commune de Paris Collection by Astier de Villatte is a spirited collaboration between the Parisian ceramic atelier and the creative collective Commune de Paris. Created around the 140th anniversary of the Paris Commune of 1871, the collaboration reinterprets French symbols and tricolour motifs with a sharp, contemporary graphic sensibility. Red, white and blue details enliven Astier de Villatte’s ceramics, while imagery inspired by Paris transforms traditional tableware into something playful, modern and unmistakably French.
