This beautifully detailed English Regency-style convex mirror, crafted in the 20th century, captures the dramatic elegance of the period’s most iconic form. The round gilt frame features reeded carving, an ebonized inner ring with traditional gilt ball accents, and decorative foliate clusters.
At the top, a commanding spread-wing eagle adds grandeur and height, while an ornate acanthus scroll at the base completes the silhouette. Convex mirrors of this era were originally designed to expand candlelight and create atmosphere, and this piece retains all of that theatrical charm.
With its warm gold finish and sculptural presence, this mirror becomes an instant focal point—ideal for an entryway, dining room, or above a console.
