A handsome marine scene depicting a late-19th-century steam-assisted sailing ship under full canvas, cutting through a choppy green sea beneath a bright, cloud-streaked sky. The painter’s hand lingers on rigging and deck detail; two funnels hint at the era of transition from sail to steam. Signed lower right (indistinct; possibly “Eriksson”). Presented in a painted wooden frame with inner slip.
