As autumn drifts in with golden leaves and cozy nights, a touch of mischief has crept into the shop. Vintage by Crystal’s spun-cotton figurines have arrived... charmingly eerie, delightfully sweet, and just the right whisper of whimsy for the season.
Why we love them
Husband-and-wife team Crystal and Ben Sloane revive the nineteenth-century German art of spun cotton from their studio in upstate New York. Each figure is shaped by hand, then dressed with vintage trims, tiny findings, and little treasures discovered at flea markets and fairs. The result? Pieces that feel both storied and fresh, heirlooms with a wink.
The Halloween Edit
This year’s collection is a carnival of characters:
Moonlit Witches stirring spells in brimming cauldrons, black cats at the ready.
Bat boys & star girls with outstretched wings and glittered night skies.
Pumpkinfolk—jubilee orange, banner-waving, forever mid-parade.
Skeleton merrymakers who look more inclined to dance than to fright.
Every piece stands on a little mound of stardust, made to gather on mantels, bookshelves, and party tables. Arrange a tiny troupe or let a single character steal the scene... either way, they bring the room to life.
