What Is the EPV Label?
The Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant, or “Living Heritage Company,” label is one of France’s most respected distinctions. It recognizes companies that demonstrate exceptional craftsmanship, rare technical expertise, and a long-term commitment to preserving French manufacturing traditions.
To receive the designation, companies must preserve rare artisanal knowledge, continue manufacturing in France, demonstrate exceptional craftsmanship and industrial excellence, and invest in passing these skills to future generations.
Trudon — Since 1643
Founded in 1643, Trudon is the world’s oldest active candle manufacturer and one of France’s oldest continuously operating luxury houses. Once supplying candles to Versailles and French churches, Trudon continues to produce its candles in France using expertise refined over nearly four centuries.
Today, Trudon’s candles, fragrances, busts, and decorative objects have become icons of French luxury interiors, admired for their remarkable quality, timeless design, and extraordinary scents.

Charvet Éditions — Since 1866
