Ino Schaller Krampuses

Folkloric Krampus figures handcrafted in Bavaria using historic papier-mâché techniques

Ino Schaller Krampuses celebrate one of Europe’s most fascinating winter traditions through handcrafted papier-mâché figures rich with folklore, craftsmanship, and old-world holiday atmosphere.

Since 1894, the Ino Schaller workshop in Bavaria, Germany has produced festive figures using traditional 19th-century molds and techniques. Revived by the Schaller family in the 1980s, each Krampus is still formed, painted, glittered, and finished by hand, giving every piece its own distinct expression and character.

Both theatrical and nostalgic, these folkloric figures blend the darker side of Alpine winter tradition with remarkable artistry and charm. Horns, bells, fur textures, crackled finishes, glittered surfaces, and expressive faces create collectible holiday objects that feel deeply rooted in European Christmas history while remaining playful and imaginative.

At BON TON goods, we curate Ino Schaller for its craftsmanship, storytelling spirit, and ability to bring a sense of folklore, humor, and old-world magic into the holiday season.
