Co-founders and artistic directors of A Paris chez Antoinette Poisson, Vincent Farelly and Jean-Baptiste Martin, are heritage restorers specializing in wallpaper. Since 2012, they’ve been reviving the art of domino paper, an artisanal technique they rediscovered while restoring a historic house in Auvergne. Inspired by fragments of this decorative paper, they dove into the history of “dominoterie” and brought it back from the brink of obscurity.
Named in honor of Jeanne-Antoinette Poisson, the Marquise de Pompadour, who was a lover of art and wallpaper, A Paris chez Antoinette Poisson creates block-printed designs in their Parisian workshop. Their exquisite designs have attracted the attention of high-end brands like Gucci, Ladurée, and Diptyque, reviving the intimate charm of 18th-century interior decorations with a modern twist.
