Collected Across Europe: Estate & Antique Finds at BON TON goods

A personal approach to antiques, decorative objects, furniture, lighting, and collected interiors.

One of the things we speak about least at BON TON goods, yet perhaps love most deeply, is our collection of estate and antique finds. Long before the shop existed, we spent weekends visiting auctions, antique fairs, estate sales, and small dealers across Scandinavia, Europe, and the United States, searching for objects with atmosphere, craftsmanship, and a sense of history.

Today, that same approach still shapes the way we source. Our Estate & Antiques collection includes antique furniture, mirrors, lighting, sculptures, ceramics, vintage decorative objects, estate jewelry, garden pieces, vessels, textiles, and collected curiosities. Some pieces are grand and architectural, others small and personal, but all are selected with the same instinctive eye.

We are rarely interested in interiors that feel overly perfect or newly assembled. The rooms we love most evolve slowly over time. A sculptural lamp found in Copenhagen. An antique Swedish pedestal discovered at auction. A weathered ceramic vessel from France. A 19th-century mirror beside contemporary art. These combinations create homes that feel layered, personal, and deeply lived in.

Curated antique lighting and decorative objects

Many of the antique and vintage pieces we source are chosen because they work beautifully within contemporary interiors. Scandinavian simplicity often becomes more interesting when paired with age, texture, patina, and ornament.

European antiques and estate finds in Sweden

Our sourcing takes us throughout Sweden, Denmark, France, Belgium, and beyond. We spend an enormous amount of time searching through auctions and estates for pieces that feel distinctive and emotionally resonant rather than merely decorative. At times, we fall for an object because of its craftsmanship. At others, because of scale or silhouette. Occasionally, it is simply because something feels impossible to leave behind.

Over time, these pieces begin to form conversations with one another. Antique candlesticks beside contemporary ceramics. A marble pedestal beneath a modern sculpture. Estate silver mixed with handwoven textiles. The beauty often comes from contrast and tension rather than strict periods or categories.

Antique sculpture and European decorative arts

We are especially drawn to objects that bring warmth and personality into a room: sculptures and busts, antique mirrors, lighting, weathered vessels, and unusual decorative objects that create atmosphere rather than clutter.

Curated antique furniture and decorative interiors

While BON TON goods is often known for handmade ceramics, jewelry, fragrance, and artisan collections, antiques remain central to the spirit of the shop. They give rooms depth. They soften spaces. They tell stories.

We also believe strongly in mixing investment pieces with small discoveries. A room does not need to be expensive to feel extraordinary. Sometimes a single antique lamp, an unusual work on paper, or a beautifully worn side table changes the entire atmosphere of a space.

Estate jewelry and vintage decorative objects

Our collection is constantly evolving as new pieces arrive from auctions and private estates. Many items are one-of-a-kind and, once sold, cannot be sourced again. This is part of what makes collecting antiques so exciting. Every object carries its own history, scale, surface, and character.

European antique ceramics and vessels

For collectors searching for antique furniture, vintage candlesticks, works on paper, estate jewelry, and curated European antiques online, we hope BON TON goods feels less like a store and more like entering a collected home.

Antique lighting and European interiors

The practical side of sourcing matters too. We look closely at condition, scale, usability, surface, and how an object might live in a modern home. Some pieces are ready to use immediately, while others are best appreciated for their age, patina, and signs of previous lives.

Decorative antique objects at BON TON goods

This is a personal passion for us, and one of the most intimate parts of BON TON goods. Each estate piece enters the shop because we can imagine it living beautifully somewhere else: on a mantel, beside a bed, in a hallway, on a terrace, or as the single object that gives a room its center of gravity.
