Trudon, Historic French Candles from the World’s Oldest Candler

Candles once made for Versailles, now lighting the world’s most elegant homes

Founded in 1643, Trudon is the world’s oldest surviving candle maker, a French heritage house renowned for its exceptional wax, layered perfumes, and regal history. Once the official supplier to the court of Louis XIV and the churches of Paris, Trudon continues to illuminate interiors around the world through scented candles that balance atmosphere, craftsmanship, and storytelling.

Each candle is hand-poured in Normandy using a carefully developed vegetal wax blend and presented in Trudon’s signature glass vessels, crafted in Vinci, Italy. The fragrances are composed with master perfumers and rooted in memory, history, landscape, and emotion: revolution and royalty, forests and salons, incense and citrus groves.

Trudon candles are not simply aromatic, they are atmospheric, designed to shape the mood of a room and linger softly within the memory of a space.

Whether burning during quiet evenings at home or layered into grand tablescapes and candlelit gatherings, Trudon transforms fragrance into ritual and candlelight into ceremony.
