A Scandinavian Holiday Paradise
Each winter, the lights of Malmö glow a little brighter, the scent of fir and beeswax fills the air, and our shop transforms into something truly magical: the BON TON Christmas Market, Malmös mest unika julmarknad, Københavns mest fortryllende julemarked.
While we are open year-round, for two festive months each year the entire boutique becomes a celebration of craftsmanship, beauty, and Christmas joy. It’s not simply a market; it’s an experience, a carefully curated world of handmade treasures, fine gifts, and the kind of atmosphere that reminds you why Christmas in Scandinavia is unlike anywhere else on earth.
A World of Handmade Wonder
Every ornament, every candle, every small detail has been chosen by hand. Our Christmas Market brings together an extraordinary selection of handmade ornaments and Christmas decor... coupled with our selection of artisan ceramics, textiles, and jewelry, each piece created by the makers we love and champion throughout the year — from Astier de Villatte’s Parisian ateliers to Trudon’s royal candle works, A World of Craft's fair-trade items, Ino Schaller's heirloom Christmas decor, and Mikkel Brøgger’s luminous jewelry.
You’ll find:
Papier-mâché ornaments from Ino Schaller, Germany’s legendary maker since the 19th century
Vintage by Crystal's vintage inspired figurines
Hand-blown glass from Germany's Nostalgie Christbaumschmuck
Astier de Villatte ceramics from Paris, each piece moulded in black terracotta and glazed in milky white
Trudon candles and perfumes, steeped in the history of Versailles and handmade in Normandy
Mikkel Brøgger Jewelry, one-of-a-kind pieces made in Copenhagen from gold, gemstones, and imagination
Decorations from A World of Craft, crafted by global artisan cooperatives in a modern Scandinavian palette
More Than a Market — A Christmas Experience
A stroll through our BON TON Christmas Market feels like stepping into a dream: flickering candlelight, gentle carols, the scent of pine and clove, and tables dressed with treasures you won’t find anywhere else.
This isn’t a market of mass-produced trinkets or predictable gifts, it’s a curated exhibition of artistry and authenticity. Every piece tells a story: the potter’s touch, the weaver’s rhythm, the jeweler’s fire.
Visitors describe it as “part gallery, part fairytale,” a holiday destination for design lovers and collectors, and one of the most enchanting julmarknader or julemarkeder in Scandinavia.
The Scandinavian Spirit of Christmas
In Sweden, we call it Julmarknad.
In Denmark, Julemarked.
Both mean more than “Christmas market.” They mean gathering, light, community — a way to keep warmth alive through the long Nordic winter. BON TON goods brings that spirit to life with a distinctly refined sensibility: a blend of Parisian elegance, Copenhagen design, and Swedish coziness.
Here, Christmas isn’t about excess, it’s about essence. The glow of a candle in a handmade holder. The weight of a pearl necklace given with love. The quiet joy of choosing something beautiful that was made to last.
A Hallmark Christmas, Reimagined
If Hallmark movies have taught us anything, it’s that Christmas is best celebrated with warmth, nostalgia, and beauty. Yet where those fictional markets are filled with twinkle lights and cocoa stands, ours adds a distinctly Scandinavian sophistication.
Think of it as Hallmark meets artisanal design: every table styled like a still life, every gift wrapped in natural paper and silk ribbon, every object carefully chosen to become part of someone’s story.
We don’t just sell Christmas, we curate it.
