Trudon Candles

French candlelight since 1643, perfume, history, and atmosphere

Founded in 1643, Trudon is the world’s oldest surviving candle maker, a French heritage house renowned for its exquisite wax, complex perfumes, and storied history. Once a supplier to the court of Louis XIV and the churches of Paris, Trudon continues to illuminate elegant interiors through scented candles of exceptional depth and character.

Each candle is hand-poured in Normandy using a carefully developed wax blend, then presented in Trudon’s signature glass vessels. The fragrances are composed with master perfumers and built in layers: equal parts story, atmosphere, and sensation.

From the first strike of a match to the final warm note in the air, Trudon turns fragrance into ritual and candlelight into ceremony.

Tip: For a BON TON ritual, trim the wick before each use, allow the wax to melt evenly across the surface, and pair a classic Trudon vessel with tapered candlelight for the evening.
