A little theatre.
A great deal
of Christmas.

On 24 October, we opened the doors to this year’s Christmas Market. Now we can finally show you the world we have been putting together: trees threaded with tiny characters, shelves of extraordinary Santas, candle cakes dressed for a celebration, and more than a little mischief among the branches.

Our theme, Midnight Salon — A Celestial Interior, begins with deep blue and golden light. From there, the story wanders: into a glittering forest, through a miniature village, past embroidered winter scenes and out among the stars. Here is a photographic tour, with plenty of small details to discover along the way.

The celestial interior

A tree full of moonlight

Silver faces, golden moons and the delicate geometry of a beaded ornament: the Midnight Salon begins with objects that seem to hold their own light. Mix reflective glass with soft greenery and let every small face find its place among the branches.

Papier-mâché personalities

The company we keep

No two Christmas characters make quite the same entrance. Some are dignified, some wonderfully extravagant; others look as if they have arrived with a secret. Ino Schaller’s handmade figures are at the heart of this gathering, with a wealth of colour, expression and ornament to study up close.

Into the enchanted forest

Deer, toadstools & other woodland company

A quieter palette of fur, silver and pale winter colour meets the brilliant red of a storybook toadstool. These are pieces to arrange in small groups: a pair of deer on a mantel, mushrooms beneath a tree, a soft little companion tucked into a corner.

The cabinet of curiosities

For the wonderfully unexpected

A Christmas tree can reveal a great deal about its owner. Here, a silver cat sits near a pink devil, a mouse dresses for an occasion and a tiny astronaut waits for a branch. Choose an ornament for its expression, its absurdity, or the person it immediately brings to mind.

The candle pâtisserie

Almost too good to light

Look closely before reaching for a fork. Cereria Introna’s wax creations turn the pâtisserie counter into a place for candlelight: piped frosting, jewel-like fruit, cherries and glossy holly, all made to tempt the eye. Set one at the centre of a table and the conversation begins before the first course.

Made of wax. Full of delight.

A different kind
of Christmas cake.

The appeal is in the detail: a curl of cream, a scattering of berries, the deliciously improbable presence of a cake that belongs beside the candlesticks.

Bring one out for a festive supper, give it to a devoted host, or let it become the centrepiece of your own Christmas cabinet.

Small worlds, beautifully built

A village on the mantel

There are many ways to build a Christmas landscape. Begin with a single glittered house, add a small forest, and let a snowman take up residence. Keep colours close for a quiet winter scene, or bring pink, green and gold together for something more fantastical.

The embroidered winter

Christmas, stitched into a story

Coral & Tusk brings another texture to the room: linen, thread and winter scenes that reward a second look. Among the glitter and glass, embroidered cushions and ornaments make space for a softer kind of Christmas, full of woodland visitors and gentle humour.

A softer Christmas

A place for
every little story.

A cushion can change the feeling of a chair. An embroidered ornament can become the beginning of a collection. Let the textures sit beside your glass ornaments, old furniture and familiar ceramics; the differences are part of the pleasure.

The last layer

When the candles come on

After the tree, the figures and the small discoveries comes the light. Trudon candles under glass bring a quieter rhythm to the display: polished reflections, warm candlelight and the pleasure of a room arranged for the evening. A final layer for the Midnight Salon, and a beautiful place to begin choosing a gift.
