A personal note from Mikkel and Shane.
As Midsummer arrives in Sweden, with its flowers, long evenings, and sense of celebration, we wanted to pause for a moment and say thank you.
Behind BON TON goods are just two people: us.
We met many years ago in New York City, and it was very much love at first sight. From the beginning, we shared a dream of one day creating a shop of our own. A place filled with beautiful objects, heritage craftsmanship, artisan jewelry, antiques, ceramics, fragrance, textiles, and things we genuinely love.
For the past five years, that dream has become our everyday reality in Malmö.
When we opened BON TON goods, we wanted to create more than a shop. We wanted to create a world. A place where objects are chosen with intention, where makers matter, and where beauty is allowed to be personal, joyful, and deeply felt.
Every collection in the shop reflects that belief. From Astier de Villatte ceramics and Trudon candles to Mikkel Brøgger Jewelry, antique and estate pieces, handmade ceramics, textiles, and gifts, we choose pieces because they have character, craftsmanship, and a story worth sharing.
We are deeply grateful to everyone who visits the shop, orders from us online, recommends us to friends, follows along on Instagram, reads Le Journal BON TON, or simply takes the time to notice what we are building.
Your support allows us to keep ordering from smaller makers, championing artisans, supporting heritage workshops, and bringing thoughtfully crafted goods to customers in Sweden, Denmark, Europe, the United States, and beyond.

As we move through Midsummer and into the rest of the year, we feel especially appreciative of the community around the shop. BON TON goods exists because people continue to believe in small businesses, personal curation, independent makers, and the joy of discovering something with soul.
