A white tulip vase with a trendy cylindrical shape. This snow-white tulip vase is one of our most iconic designs and is decorated all around with slender Delft blue orchid flowers. The vase has a cylindrical form, with the characteristic spouts all placed on top, pointing straight upward.

The tulip vase originated when Queen Mary II commissioned the potters in Delft to create a vase that could fill her chambers with fresh flowers. The tulip vase quickly became immensely popular and played an important role during the tulip mania in the Netherlands—when certain tulip varieties were worth more than a canal house in Amsterdam. Naturally, such expensive flowers were not placed in an ordinary vase.

The various spouts of the tulip vase provide delicate flower stems with sturdy support, helping to prevent damage and keeping the blooms beautiful for longer—something we still benefit from today.
