The Collections That Define BON TON goods

Four remarkable worlds, explored in depth: Astier de Villatte, Trudon, Lisa Corti and Mikkel Brøgger.

BON TON goods was never meant to be a shop where everything appears once.

When a maker matters to us, we go deep. We learn the history, understand the materials and assemble enough of the collection for its character to become visible. The result is not simply a place to buy beautiful things. It is a place to compare, touch, smell, try on and discover.

Our shop in central Malmö brings together objects from exceptional ateliers with an intimacy that is increasingly difficult to find. Four names express this approach better than any others: Astier de Villatte, Trudon, Lisa Corti and Mikkel Brøgger.

01 · Ceramics

Astier de Villatte: the poetry of the imperfect

Astier de Villatte begins with black terracotta clay and a luminous white glaze. Where the glaze thins, the dark body appears beneath it, tracing edges, fingerprints and irregularities left by the hand. No two objects are entirely alike.

A single Astier plate is beautiful. Seen together, the collection becomes a language. Familiar forms sit beside architectural towers, mythological creatures, sculptural vases and objects that seem to have arrived from another century. The white glaze unites them, while every surface retains its individuality.

BON TON goods holds an extensive Astier de Villatte selection in Scandinavia. In the shop, customers can compare scale, weight, glaze and form, then begin a table setting or add an unexpected object to an existing collection.

02 · Fragrance

Trudon: history, atmosphere and ritual

Founded in 1643, Trudon carries centuries of French candle-making history. Yet the pleasure of Trudon is immediate: the weight of the vessel, the glow through coloured glass and the way a fragrance changes the atmosphere of a room.

Fragrance is intensely personal, which is why the physical experience matters. At BON TON goods, customers can smell across fragrance families, compare candles and perfumes, and discover how green, floral, woody, resinous or aromatic notes behave together.

Our Malmö boutique is home to Scandinavia’s largest independent Trudon experience, encompassing classic candles, the Belles Matières collection, perfumes, tapers, busts and objects for the ritual of fragrance.

03 · Textiles

Lisa Corti: colour made to live together

Lisa Corti’s textiles arrive with confidence: generous flowers, rhythmic borders and colours that seem to shift as patterns meet. They transform a room without asking it to become formal.

The collection is especially compelling when it is allowed to layer. A tablecloth becomes the foundation for contrasting napkins and trays. Quilts and cushions bring colour to a bedroom or sofa. Prints that might appear surprising alone begin to converse when placed together.

At BON TON goods, we collect broadly so that customers can experience these relationships. In store, we can unfold the tablecloths, compare sizes, feel the cotton and help build combinations that are exuberant without becoming chaotic. The new Nizam Cream Pink story is a particularly beautiful example.

04 · Jewelry

Mikkel Brøgger: modern heirlooms, shaped by hand

Mikkel Brøgger’s jewelry is sculptural, symbolic and deeply tactile. Handmade in Denmark and New York, the work draws on memory, nature and the expressive possibilities of metal and stone.

The collections move between softened organic forms, bold textures, pearls, precious stones and one-of-a-kind compositions. They are intimate pieces, made to be worn often, held close and collected over time.

Jewelry reveals itself on the body. At BON TON, customers can try forms together, feel their weight and see how different metals, pearls and stones respond to the skin. Mikkel is also available for private appointments, special commissions and conversations about pieces with personal meaning.
