MALMÖ, CURATED: Our Updated City Guide
Share
There’s a quiet elegance to Malmö—one you don’t fully appreciate until you’re immersed in it. Like our shop itself, the city is a curated blend of old-world beauty, contemporary creativity, and that unmistakable sense of northern charm.
We've just refreshed our Malmö Guide, adding several new destinations that we personally return to again and again. These aren’t just “top spots”—they’re places with character, intention, and soul. Below are a few of our newest favorites and perennial go-tos.
✨ FOOD & DRINK
Lilla Kafferosteriet — An essential stop for coffee obsessives. Historic building, expert roasting, deeply cozy.
St. Jacobs Stenovnsbageri — Artisanal Danish-style baking with Swedish soul. The cardamom buns are our benchmark.
Julie, San Greal, and Gustavino — Our top three for wine. Each has its own personality—Julie is intimate and French, San Greal leans natural and adventurous, and Gustavino is beautifully curated, classic, and smart.
La Fonderie, Bise & Bar Bisou, Aster, Ruths — Dining at its best. From French-inspired bistros to seasonal New Nordic kitchens, these are the places where ingredients shine and the atmosphere is effortless.
Johan P, Mrs Brown, Brasserie Sture 1912, Kung Food, Marvin, Moosehead Bar — A mix of institutions and new favorites. Think seafood towers, reimagined pub classics, and cocktails that never miss.
Falafel City — Sometimes, Malmö’s most iconic bite is also its simplest. This spot nails it.
Noir Vin & Kaffekultur — Coffee by day, wine by night. Elegance and ease.
Slottsträdgårdens Kafé — Inside the castle park gardens, this little café offers fika with a side of wildflowers.
Vollmers — Two stars, zero fuss. Malmö’s destination for true fine dining, done with heart.
Scoops Candy Store — Yes, a candy shop. But one you’d photograph—and one that reminds us not to take life too seriously.
🛏 WHERE TO STAY
Hotel MJ’s — Bold, stylish, and very Malmö. A boutique hotel where velvet, cocktails, and Scandinavian hospitality meet.
🛍 SHOPPING, BON TON STYLE
Olséns, Iisa of Malmö, Kasthall, Irmas Hus, Per Ljung, Très Bien, Bitte Kai Rand, Engelska Herr — Whether you’re looking for heritage rugs, curated fashion, tailored classics, or inspired homewares, these are our most-loved stops for beautiful things.
🖼 ART, ARCHITECTURE & EXPLORATION
Malmö Opera — Elegant, iconic. Even if you don’t catch a performance, the building alone is worth the visit.
Malmö Konsthall, Moderna Museet, Malmöhus, Katrinetorp — A quartet of cultural destinations, from contemporary art to historical immersion, each with its own tempo and texture.
🌸 FOR FLOWERS & FIKA
Blomsterpigan — Tucked-away and romantic. This is where we go for fresh blooms and seasonal bouquets that feel like they were picked from a secret garden.
✨ JUST FOR YOU
LENHUD Spa — Understated luxury and impeccable Swedish skincare. A favorite for a midday reset or a full-on unwind.
