A Parisian Treasure: New Creations from Astier de Villatte at BON TON goods

As summer evenings gently sparkle, a new chapter begins at BON TON goods with the arrival of Astier de Villatte’s latest collection—now available for pre-order and expected to arrive in September.

Each piece in this release will be made to order, crafted by hand in Astier de Villatte’s celebrated Parisian workshop. There, amidst chalky light and timeworn kilns, a small group of artisans carries on a lineage of ceramic artistry that feels both ancient and immediate.

This collection is particularly evocative: a blend of Parisian chic, sculptural silhouettes, and thoughtful collaborations.

Highlights from the New Collection

Among the most anticipated introductions is the Wallace Pot, a reverent nod to the iconic Wallace fountains found throughout Paris. Gifted to the city in the 19th century by Richard Wallace, these fountains were designed by Charles-Auguste Lebourg and feature four caryatids symbolizing Simplicity, Kindness, Sobriety, and Charity. Still found on street corners and in shaded squares, they remain both a lifeline and a symbol of generosity. Astier’s interpretation captures their spirit in gleaming white—a functional sculpture for the home.

Also arriving:
The “Baigneuse” Ornament, a serene bather over 30 cm tall, quietly radiant.
The Very Large Alexandre Vase, whose bold, columnar form stands at over 40 cm.
New heart-shaped plates and platters, playfully romantic and entirely timeless.
Fresh collaborations with John Derian, where antique ephemera meets luminous clay.

Each object feels like a whisper from another era, made to inhabit the present with grace.
